Author: Susan S. Johnston, Ph.D. wrote The Gnome in Your Home after many years of first-hand experience in the positive impact of giving and receiving small acts of kindness. Like Papa Gnome, Susan has no magical skills; just the desire to change the world one act of kindness at a time.

Susan is a university professor whose research and teaching focuses on meeting the needs of young children with disabilities and their families. She has written extensively on topics related to communication skills and social interactions for individuals with disabilities. This is her first children’s book.
